New England is a melting pot of what was brought here from immigrants and what was adopted from Native American culture. Crops like corn, beans, and squash along with the pickling and drying of fruits and meats are some essential Native American traditions that have evolved into our local diet.

New Hampshire has many regional foods that have deep ties to the states rich history. Along with New Hampshire’s diverse landscape, comes a diverse set of foods. Discover seafood along the beautiful Atlantic coast or travel only a few miles inland and stumble upon traditional cuisine, commonly involving apples, maple, or dairy.

One of New Hampshire’s greatest features is the season of fall. From the foliage to the farms, encounter some of the jaw dropping scenery and more than a few incredible dishes. Although New Hampshire has a variety of great cuisine, the classical apple cider donut is the king of them all

New Hampshire is home to many cider maker’s, it is seen as tradition to use a portion of the freshly squeezed apple cider to construct a light but flavorful donut. According to an undisclosed source who has been a New Hampshire resident for nearly 23 years, “Cider donuts are New Hampshire’s greatest food because they are so unique and flavorful.”
