More Life, More Drake

Ever since Drake released his 2016 hit album Views, fans have been expecting more of him. His new album, More Life, is showing a different side of Drake that the fans have been waiting for. More Life was released on March 15th, 2017 and has already topped the charts.

A new album definitely brought many mixed emotions, which caused everyone to be talking about it. Some people assume Drake as a pop singer rather than his humble beginnings as a rapper.

On the other hand, people love this album. This album is different from Views, but  in a good way. He incorporates more genres, artists, and beats. It even seems as if he’s in a completely different and better place from when he wrote Views.

Back when Drake released Views, he told Zane Lowe in an interview, “This album, I’m very proud to say, is just-I feel like I told everybody how I’m actually feeling.” This is the main reason why these two albums are completely different; although fans appreciated that side of Drake, fans wanted something new and more upbeat.

He even acknowledges those changed feelings in the song “Do Not Disturb” by saying, “I was an angry youth while I was writing Views/Saw a side of me that I just never knew.”

Drake has had a great partnership with Apple Music, which definitely helped his album top the charts in no time. With or without Apple Music, we all know that Drake is capable of producing songs that will be stuck in our heads all the time. So leave it to Drake, for more life.
