‘The Flash’ Season 4 is Off To A Running Start

The CW’s “The Flash” has finally sprinted back onto the small screen returning for its 4th season.  After how it ended last, season fans were ecstatic to see what would happen to the scarlet speedster.     Without going into spoilers just yet, last season’s ending was anything but concrete.  There were so many ways that this show could’ve started and many people were excited to see just how it would be done.

Many fans had gripes with the last season of “The Flash,”  but nonetheless, I feel the season 4 premiere is enough to satisfy any Flash fan.   The episode opens up with Team Flash 6 months after the season 3 finale and Barry’s disappearance.   Wally (Kid Flash) and Cisco (Vibe) are doing their  best to protect Central City in the absence of Barry.

Team Flash members, in their own ways, are grieving the loss of Barry.  Some of whom are accepting that he’s gone while others are actively trying to get him out of the speed force.

Below are Spoilers of Season 4 Episode 1 of “The Flash”

The episode appropriately titled “The Flash Reborn” does have some problems though.  The title alone is enough to guess that Barry would be returning this episode.   Though I love Grant Gustin’s portrayal of Barry Allen/ The Flash I was hoping they would not bring Barry back so soon.  The supporting characters are some of if not the best part of the show, and I was excited to see them shine a little.   But sadly midway into the episode their spotlight is dimmed when Barry is successfully pulled out of the speed-force.  In my opinion the episode may have been better as a two part-er, but the episode was still very enjoyable.

As season premieres go, “The Flash” did fairly well this year.   I think the season is off to a good start and fans of “The Flash” are in for a treat.   If you haven’t yet watched I highly recommend this show.  The characters are very likeable and the plot is usually engaging.  This continues to be one of my favorite shows on television, and I’m excited for what’s to come.
