Deciding where to go for spring break can be challenging. Recent interviews with PHS students and teachers made this list possible as it features their best destination recommendations.

The list offers 5 vacation ideas for you and your family. PHS junior Jordan Ovadek stated “I enjoy going to beaches and big cities because there are more places to go and shop, and all-around getting to spend time with family and friends.” With Ovadek’s commentary as a guide, let’s take a look at the beaches and cities on our list!

#5 The Maldives. The Maldives is a wonderful place to visit, not only because it is a tropical island, but also because it has a unique culture. The islands also offer an amazing range of activities and things to do in its azure waters and colorful coral reefs.

#4 Bora Bora. Bora Bora is on the list because it offers amazing experiences for both adults and children. Feeling bored of hotel views? In Bora Bora, you can rent bungalows right on the crystal clear coast for an amazing view of aquatic animals and a stunning view of the island’s volcano Mount Otemanu.

#3 Dubai. Looking for a more modern city to visit? Dubai is one of the best cities that has been created and is home to the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. This city is one of the wealthiest cities in the world. From skyscrapers that set world records, to the incredibly clear oceans, Dubai has a lot to offer for you and your family.

#2 Paris. Ok, we all know about the city of love, but it offers so much more than just a honeymoon vacation. From the amazing culture in food, traveling around the city, or riding along the outskirts there is no room to be bored. Paris offers an immense amount of sightseeing and activities to do with your family. It’s only a 105-mile scenic drive to the wonderful beach Les cerfs-volants de Dieppe with amazing cliff sides surrounding the beach. PHS senior Alex Peshkov replied, “I’d go try Paris cuisine, they have some pretty good food there.”

#1 South Island, New Zealand. Taking the number one spot on the list is a beautiful island consisting of massive mountain ranges and amazing bodies of water. From breathtaking mountain roads to the beautiful city of Queenstown, it offers a range of activities and restaurants to choose from making the most of your New Zealand experience. PHS social studies teacher Dana Gray commented on her trip to New Zealand saying, “we stopped somewhere and bought a thesaurus cause we had to stop saying it was beautiful, we needed new words.”
