Spirit Week is coming up, and it is time for everyone’s school spirit to shine brightly! With the upcoming week close at hand, people may be wondering what to do for some of the themes and what to wear for colors. Hopefully these next pictures will give you some inspiration, and you can really make the outfits your own!

Monday:

Class Color Day is a day to show pride for your grade. Freshmen wear white, sophomores wear red, juniors wear blue, seniors wear black, and teachers wear pink. Online sign ups begin Monday for  the tug of war and pie throwing during the pep rally on Friday. “Clipwich” ice cream sandwiches will be sold in the old foyer (sponsored by the freshmen class.) There will also be a bake sale held at the Unified Soccer team at 4pm. Go Clippers!

Tuesday:

America Day is next up; wear red, white, and blue to show spirit for our country. Online sign ups for the tug of war and pie throwing continue.

Wednesday:

Wednesday is Throwback Day! Time to dig into parents’ closets, find old sports jerseys, and maybe even dress up as a dinosaur. Have fun wearing the clothes of the past. (Note:  this is a missed opportunity by the student council to have a Throwback Thursday, but embrace it anyways). Online sign ups for tug of war and pie throwing continue.

Thursday:

For Denim Day layer as much jean material on as you can! Denim hats, accessories, and shoes are great unique items you can add to your outfit Thursday. There is a free throw competition in the gym during lunch, and the winner enjoys free takeout with a friend.  All it takes to participate is showing up. Clippers go green today as well, during lunch free “Spirit Juice” and clipper water bottles will be handed out. The compost program will also be unveiled!

Friday:

The last day of the week is School Color Day. Friday is the day to show  PHS spirit and go all out! Our school colors are maroon, white, and gold. In the old foyer during lunch there will be voting for most spirited boy and girl of each grade level, and staff member. The pep rally will be at the end of the day where tug of war, pie throwing, and a dance battle will happen. Friday night from 8:30 to 10:30 pm there will be a dance sponsored by the senior class in the cafeteria. Cost of admission is $5.
