Portsmouth, New Hampshire is a beautiful and historic seaport town with plenty of historical sites, cultural attractions, scenic views and must-see places to visit. Here are some must-see places to visit in Portsmouth. 

 

Strawbery Banke Museum 

This living history museum consists of 32 historic buildings that have been restored and   furnished to depict daily life in the neighborhood from the late 17th century to the mid-20th century. Visitors can explore the houses, gardens, and streets, and interact with costumed interpreters who demonstrate traditional crafts and skills. Some of the highlights of the museum include the Pitt Tavern, which was a popular gathering place during the Revolutionary War, and the Shapiro House, which tells the story of Jewish immigrants who settled in the neighborhood in the early 20th century. Then the Goodwin Mansion, which showcases the lifestyle of a wealthy family in the late 19th century. 

Prescott Park 

Prescott Park is a public park located on the banks of the Piscataqua River in downtown Portsmouth.

The park features beautiful gardens, walking paths, picnic areas, and a variety of recreational activities.

It is also home to the Prescott Park Arts Festival, which hosts a range of cultural events throughout the summer months, including concerts, theater productions, and outdoor movies. Market Square
