Way Too Early NFL Predictions: NFC South

NFC South

Tampa Bay got Tom Brady back. After his unconvincing and brief retirement, Brady decides to play for at least one more year. The core he has around him is great; nothing really changed for the worst except for losing Ali Marpet. This team is set to continue their Brady dynasty.

The Saints are in an awkward spot where they have some win-now players, but also have a lot of young players. Jameis Winston is in a position where he can prove himself as the next Saints QB. The defense is going to be good like every year, but the offense needs to stay healthy.

The Panthers have a real dilemma at the QB position. They have PJ Walker, Sam Darnold, and now Matt Corral. This team is confusing to say the least. Mccaffrey’s health is always in question, with an unpredictable defense. Matt Rhule needs to win more than he has ever to keep his head coaching job. Expect this team to possibly have a big upset but other than that, not much is going to go well in Carolina.

The Falcons signed Marcus Mariota, and he could possibly be the next QB for the Falcons as they traded away Matt Ryan. Another QB to turn to if things go sideways with Mariota, is newly acquired, Desmond Ridder. This team without many stars lost another one. They lost Calvin Ridley to a 2-year suspension from the NFL. He was caught gambling on his own team and has been suspended. Without Ridley, the wide receiver room is very weak.
