Kiara Krukoff, a Portsmouth High School English teacher, applied for the “Bookshelf Diversity” award and won $500 worth of books. The Racial Unity Team of NH delivered a variety of books to Ms. Krukoff’s room at Portsmouth High School on Thursday, May 30, 2024.
“This grant helps to support a more inclusive and representative learning environment because it would bring in materials that would help to culturally align the student body. My goal is to have a broader spectrum of voices, narrative styles, and cultural backgrounds,” Krukoff said.
