On Saturday the PHS Clipper Marching band made an appearance at the 48th Annual Dover band show for the first time since 2013. The band performed along with New England’s best musicians.

“The Dover Band Show is a lot different than most band shows since it’s not a competition,” says Performing Arts Director Steve Cirillo, “It’s where all different kinds of bands get to come and put on their routine for everybody. For most bands, this it their only show of the year.”

Drum Major Elizabeth Molleur was “looking forward to the show because we haven’t been there and this is our first performance in front of other bands with this years show.” Along with many of the other students, Liz also felt “excited to see how well we can do today.”

Field staff Anthony Foye was looking forward to “the opportunity for the band to perform in a setting that is more music focused.” Considering the band had only performed at the varsity football halftime shows.

After the high school bands performed, the UNH marching band invited them all to watch front and center on the track.

Band Director Eric Gagnon said “I was very satisfied with the experience because I thought that my group represented the school and the community as best that they could so was very happy.”
