Fidget spinners, what’s the deal?
May 30, 2017
Fidget spinners in high schools have become the new “big thing.” But, they also have become the new distraction. Fidget spinners were created for kids with ADHD and ADD, so that they can focus on school, but the people who don’t have these attention-setbacks are using them as toys and collectibles. They are more of a distraction than a helping factor.
Portsmouth High School students have been getting annoyed by the constant uproar about the toys. Portsmouth high school’s own Bailey Kelly says, “I hate fidget spinners, I think they are stupid…. I understand the students who actually need it to focus, but the students who use it as a toy and for fun is pointless.”
